Nano-Midpoint
Nov. 15th, 2011 10:30 pmSo, today is November 15th which means it marks the midpoint of Nanowrimo. I have ~25,500 words, which is just about perfect. Some people have already finished, which boggles my mind, but I'm telling myself that slow and steady wins the race.
My heroine has to get rescued now. I have no idea how that's going to happen. I hope the second half of the month isn't too much harder than the first!
Oh! And I used the Write or Die website for the first time this week. The 'evil sound' was the song Mmm bop, by Hanson. I laughed, hard.
Then I told my 17 year old step sister about it and she says, "Who's Hanson?"
I'm only 23, I'm not supposed to feel old yet! LOL.

Date: 2011-11-16 03:55 am (UTC)Grats on reaching halfway! I'm at ~26,600 myself, so about the same. Went to a write in tonight cause I really needed the kick in the butt. I'm already at the hating my story and thinking it's total crap point lol.
And yes, it boggles my mind how some people write so much. There's one person I know of already at 125,000! I tell myself that it can't possibly be GOOD. It helps me sleep at night. :P

Date: 2011-11-16 06:39 am (UTC)And now with the remake of Footloose (which I WILL NEVER see as well as never watching the remake of The Thing), one of commercials had reporters asking what moviegoers thought and this 15 year old girl goes "I know Footloose is a remake, but it's great". I was like "OH PLEASE, You weren't even ALIVE and/or TOO YOUNG to remember the original Footloose! I remember how popular the movie and the soundtrack was (having 2 brothers a decade older than me... one was married and the other in college back then)
