Okay, so this is just something I came up with in order to be avoidance girl, procrastination is the name of the game. It's short, and maybe I'll expand on it in the future, but this is all for now. Comments are appreciated, come on people, don't make me beg, cause I will, I totally will! Of course I don't own the characters or anything, though I wish I did.
Title: Bunny Surprise
Rating:G
Summary: Something gets delivered to The Magic Box, and Anya doesn't like it.
“Ooh, look at the cute little bunny!” Willow cooed down at the white ball of fur sitting in a small metal cage. The bunny had been delivered to The Magic Box earlier that day, and Giles had left it on the counter. “Wonder what you’re doing here little one?” Willow eyed the delivery receipt; it didn’t say who had sent the pure white rabbit, just the address to the Magic Box. “Hmmm, we’ll have to get you something to eat.” She spoke to the rabbit in a baby voice, wiggling her fingers between the bars. The rabbit simply ignored her and twitched its nose.
“Get away from that!” A panicked shout from the doorway to the training room made Willow jump.
“Goddess, Anya!” she breathed, extracting her fingers from the cage and turning to face the frightened woman, “you scared me.”
“You should be scared, get away from that bunny. It’s evil, all bunnies are evil!” Anya quickly grabbed up a sword that had been lying on the table in the middle of the shop. Some may think it odd that Anya always made sure to have a sword within grabbing distance at all times, but on a Hellmouth it was accepted practice. Maneuvering so the she held the sword between herself and the obviously bloodthirsty bunny, she gestured to Willow that she should move behind her.
Willow sighed. All the Scoobies were well aware of Anya’s bunny phobia. It had always been a source of much amusement that she who had once been a powerful vengeance demon could be afraid of fluffy little bunnies, not that they would tell the ex-vengeance demon that. She walked over behind Anya and put a placating hand on her arm. She kept her sarcasm carefully hidden as she said “come on, we’ll get Giles, he’ll deal with the evil bunny.” As she pulled Anya back to the training room, she thought about whether anyone had bothered to feed the poor rabbit yet. Probably not, she’d see about sneaking back in with some carrots later.
Pink eyes watched the red haired witch guide the visibly upset ex-demon out the back doorway. Foolish human. Why did it not occur to her that the woman who had spent over 1000 years as a demon would know a bit more than she would? Perhaps the little woman had a reason to be afraid? The bunny thought she did indeed have a reason. In fact, having had a run-in or two with Anyanka over the years, he knew exactly where that healthy dose of fear came from.
The bunny chuckled to itself. Yes, the humans of this Hellmouth would soon learn that not all evil was ugly and monster-looking. Some evil was cute and cuddly.
He hoped someone would come open the cage to feed him soon.
He was hungry.
